ABOUT BONNIE

Hello! My name is Bonnie Cannon and I’m the proud owner of Life Saver Survival Swim School.

My husband, children, and I live in Tomball, Texas. I am a wife of 25 years and proud mother of four wonderful children. My husband Wayne owns and manages Life Saver Pool Fence of Houston which installs and maintains the premier pool fence on the market. I trained and certified as survival swim instructor in Orange City, Florida in 2006. After teaching there for two years, I started traveling to Houston, Texas. There was such a demand there for this unique style of teaching that my family and I sold our Florida home and moved to Texas in 2009.

Since moving to Houston, I have been able to teach thousands of children and educate the community about the importance of aquatic safety and layers of protection to prevent drowning.

Being an instructor and helping children through their aquatic journeys has been the most fulfilling experience of my life.

I met Shellie several years ago and we became fast friends. As the demand has grown for lessons in the Bryan College Station area, we have formed a partnership where I travel twice a year to teach with her and get as many kids skilled as possible throughout the year. It is has helped us tremendously both professionally and personally to teach together as we learn from one another and collaborate.

ABOUT NATALIE

Howdy!

I'm Natalie Warneke!

I was born and raised in Plano, TX. I am currently majoring in Political Science and minoring in German at Texas A&M University.  In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, reading, and working on puzzles!

I grew up doing every activity I could. I played soccer, basketball, dance, and learned piano also. When I entered middle school, I began playing trumpet, joined the swim team, and danced on the drill team. I continued these hobbies throughout high school as well. However, my favorite activity was swimming!

Because of my love for the water, I decided to branch out and become an instructor’s aide for swim lessons when I was 15. Since then, I have gone through many trainings and certifications that have allowed me to independently conduct swim lessons for four years. I have taught traditional lessons, adult lessons, and private stroke lessons.

I am very passionate about water safety and drowning prevention and I am always ready to learn new skills and techniques.

I am eager to begin this new chapter in my teaching career with Survival Swim School of the Brazos Valley!

ABOUT SYDNEY

Howdy! My name is Sydney Lengefeld and I joined the Survival Swim School team in 2022.

I grew up in Hamilton, Texas. I recently graduated from Texas A&M University with a teaching degree in University Studies Science. I love science, but teaching has always been my passion.

Teaching for me extends far beyond the classroom and into the pool. I joined a competitive swim team when I was 15 to rehab a running injury, and fell in love with competitive swim. I began life guarding and teaching traditional swimming lessons soon after and continued to teach swimming lessons throughout highschool and into college.

I am beyond excited to join the Survival Swim School of the Brazos Valley team and cannot wait to meet the students and parents!
